No membership is necessary to enjoy our courts!

Experience the thrill of the sports on offer with casual or social play.  Please note, casual use means you might share the court with other players.

Competition opportunities are also available including social competitions for all ages.

What is Netball?

Netball is a fast-paced team sport played on a court with a raised goal at each end. Teams consists of seven players, and the objective is to score goals by passing the ball down the court and shooting it through the opponent’s goal ring. Netball is a high-impact sport which requires speed, agility, and teamwork. Excellent for developing cardiovascular fitness, hand-eye coordination, and strategic thinking. With quick passes and dynamic movement, netball offers a challenging workout for players of all skill levels.

Future Ferns Netball

Age Group: 5-8 years

Description: The Future Ferns Netball is a fun and supportive beginner programme designed for young children who are new to netball. It focuses on teaching basic skills of the game, including passing, catching, footwork, shooting, and teamwork, encouraging and age-appropriate environment. Future Ferns is run by the local Maniapoto Netball Association.

  • Competitive play to apply learned techniques
  • Individual progress tracking and feedback

Schedule: Wednesday 3.45pm-4.30pm (During netball season May-July)
