Gallagher Recreation Centre opened it’s doors on the 11th of February 2023 and offers the Te Kuiti and surrounding commuities a prime health and leisure facility. The facility is staffed by a team of exercise, fitness and customer service professionals committed to providing members and guests with the best experiences possible.
Our facility offers the Te Kūiti community two full size multipurpose stadiums, gym and health club, offering personal training, BEGIN programs, and Les Mills. The official opening date for the new stadium was Saturday the 11th of February 2023. The Waitomo District Council and Te Kūiti High School have been working collaboratively with Ngāti Rora – mana whenua who have gifted a special name of Te Whare Takarangi O Te Kuiti to the stadium.
This ceremony was led by Ngāti Rora who unveiled the stadium name alongside other taonga/cultural embellishments in the facility.
